How to find GPS coordinates for your location

Using Google Maps App (iOS and Android):

  1. While standing in the location of your reading, open the Google Maps App.
  2. Tap and hold on your location on the map, a red marker will appear
  3. Scroll down in the information panel that appears at the bottom of the screen until you see the GPS coordinates, they will look something like (-XX.XXXXXXX, XXX.XXXXXXX), with the “X”‘s representing numbers.
  4. Tap on the GPS coordinates and they will be copied for you
  5. Paste them directly into our GPS Coordinates field in the Submit Meter Reading form, or paste them into a note taking application on your device for future use.

Using Apple Maps (iOS):

  1. While standing in the location of your reading, open the Apple Maps App.
  2. Tap and hold on your location on the map, a red marker will appear
  3. Scroll down in the information panel that appears at the bottom of the screen until you see the GPS coordinates, they will look something like (-XX.XXXXXXX, XXX.XXXXXXX), with the “X”‘s representing numbers.
  4. Tap and hold on the GPS coordinates, a popup will appear with the word “copy” in it, tap that and the GSP coordinates will be copied for you.
  5. Paste them directly into our GPS Coordinates field in the Submit Meter Reading form, or paste them into a note taking application on your device for future use.
